Often we even end up tossing the offending object thinking it’s beyond repair. STOP! Take a deep breath and read this post first. Remove grease stains with white chalk. Crush the chalk and sprinkle it on the grease stain. Let it sit overnight. Then brush off in the morning. The chalk dust absorbs the grease from the fabric. I also love this method for getting rid of oily stains.

Chalk can also help remove ring-around-the-collar. Rub the stain heavily with white chalk. The chalk will absorb the oil that holds in the dirt. Allow to sit for at least 10 minutes, then wash as usual. If that doesn’t work give this trick a try.

If you have a zipper that’s just tough to pull up, slide a key chain run onto the loop of the zipper. Use the ring to pull the zipper up and then loop it around the button of your pants.

Rub a piece of sandpaper on the soles of new shoes to rough them up a bit. That way you have much better traction when walking.
