A home smelling good can make warm up your mood in seconds, for this, here’re some out of the box ideas!
1. Hang eucalyptus sprigs in your shower.
Search for eucalyptus sprigs at your local florist shop, but you can also find them at most gardening shops for a few dollars. Tie 2-3 sprigs together and use a rubber suction cup or a Command hook (like this one made just for showers) to hang them near or onto your shower head. When the heat and steam from your shower hit the eucalyptus, natural essentials oils will be released.
2. Make an air freshener with sea salt and citrus rinds.
Scoop out the insides of lemons and limes with a knife or spoon, and fill halves with sea salt. For extra smell-good fragrance power, add cloves or fresh herbs like basil and mint and place in an area where it can soak up bad odors.
3. Put a drop or two of essential oil on cotton balls and place them around your house.
I like to place cotton balls in dresser drawers, in pillowcases, in between couch cushions, and in bathroom cabinets.
